Begum has designed a special colour scheme to enliven more than one hundred new and refurbished beach huts on Lower Saxon Way. Rising brilliantly to the challenge of encompassing more than a kilometre of promenade in her scheme, Begum’s designs extend her studio practice – concerned with geometry, colour and light – to create a magnificent, trenchant and joyful artwork that must be among the largest in the country.
